Real Life Experience Design, Effortlessly Delivered
Creative Project Management & Exceptionally Designed Experiences
Creative Project Management
Executing the implementation of an immersive experience for clients.

Experience Design
Conceptualizing experiences that are designed to create the best possible experience for the guest, customer, or visitor.

Interaction Experience Improvement
Mapping the interaction journey or an existing experience to make clear and specific improvements at each touchpoint and enhance the feeling and experience of the guest, customer, or visitor.
Creating magic in the world by immersing your guest in an extraordinary experience.
By designing real-life experiences, we can influence individuals’ emotions, thoughts, and actions, captivate the client, and ultimately transform their behavior.

We design for what works and what feels right when it comes to customer/audience interactions and establish a specific atmosphere or sentiment, optimizing an interaction to be both simple and well-rounded. By understanding visitors, engaging with individuals, and conducting interviews, we can get to the core of a need or frustration and solve for that.
Who is Phil?
I have always sought out situations where I can immerse myself as genuinely in novel and exciting surroundings as possible.

Throughout my career and personal interests, I have gained valuable expertise in a wide range of industries, situations and cultural environments. This very broad experience I bring to my clients and craft meaningful customer experiences and surprisingly simple solutions.
My professional journey began in 2006 as a finance programmer in quantitative trading systems, following studies in business administration and software development. While I built my career, my passion for travel allowed me to immerse myself in diverse cultures and experiences—from sharing beers with Panamanian coffee-finca workers to working aboard luxury superyachts in the US and the Caribbean. These contrasting worlds deepened my understanding of human connection and storytelling.

Over the years, I’ve taken on roles as a project manager for IT and video projects, led complex high-tech manufacturing initiatives, managed an NGO startup in Istanbul, and pursued my entrepreneurial dream of building a boutique hotel and co-working retreat in Turkey. More recently, I embraced a user experience design and product owner role in the education-tech sector after relocating to the Netherlands.

Each chapter of my life has shaped how I approach design and interaction—blending creativity, cultural insight, and technical expertise. Now, I bring these experiences to my work, crafting meaningful immersive experiences that connect people with each other, their environments, and the stories they share.

PREVIOUS WORK

10+ years of prior experience in project management, technical productions and hands-on creations:
  • I joined the creative team as the Technical Production lead in building the latest edition of Prison Escape in a real prison in Utrecht. Since the inception of Prison Escape 10 years ago, the company has taken over several old prisons and turned them into incredible immersive theatre experiences, in which 300'000 people have become the protagonist of their own hero story.

  • As a new creative endeavour, I had the pleasure of joining the wild production of Piet Hein Eek's beautiful studio in Eindhoven and being put in charge of building the Crisis furniture series. Piet Hein Eek is a renowned furniture and product designer, who is known for his bold designs of reused materials and scrap wood. His works can be found around the world and the MoMA in New York.

  • For several years I managed the installs of ASML's EUV machines at customer sites in Korea, Taiwan, Ireland and the US. ASML is the world's largest supplier of microchip manufacturing equipment, and delivers enormously complex EUV lithography machines to their clients with install cycle times of up to 15 weeks per machine.

  • My collaboration with Kiron started at the height of the European refugee crisis in 2015 and I established their local Istanbul office, built the initial team, and managed the first collaborations with local NGOs and universities, all with funding from Google.org. Kiron Open Higher Education is a novel initiative that aims to create a fair and accessible hybrid learning opportunity for students with a refugee background.
